Abstract

Quality questions can be obtained by carrying out item analysis activities. This study aims to determine the
quality of grade VI school exam questions in the science subject at SD N 1 Lodankulon Sarang Rembang
for the 2021/2022 academic year. The five aspects studied were the level of difficulty, discriminating power,
effectiveness of the detractor, validity, and reliability. This type of research is evaluation and quantitative.
The research sample consisted of 31 students. This study used a saturated sample technique because all
populations were selected to be the research sample, namely class VI. Sources of research data were question
sheets consisting of 35 multiple choice questions and 15 descriptive questions, as well as student answer
sheets for school exams. Data analysis in this study used the ANATES computer program version 4.0.9
and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that: 1) the quality of the questions based on the level of difficulty
was not good; 2) the quality of questions based on discrimination is not good; 3) the quality of the questions
based on the effectiveness of the distractor is not good; 4) the quality of questions based on validity is good;
5) the quality of the questions based on reliability, multiple choice questions that is equal to 0.698, while
the description questions are very high that is equal to 0.81.
