Abstract

Various social phenomena ranging from brawls, social conflicts, legal mafia, mass riots to cheating in
national exams are a series of forms of the fragility of the values of the nation's character. This will
gradually form a tradition that will eventually become the nation's character. Based on these problems, the
formulation of the problem is: Is it successful in shaping the personality of students through the application
of character building learning on moral aqidah subjects at MTs Al Anwar Sarang Rembang?. The
method used in this study is a classroom action research method. The data collection technique uses an
observation sheet and a questionnaire with an answer choice scale of 1-4. The sample in this study was
28 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used chi square statistical
analysis and contingency correlation. The results showed that there were differences in the personality of
students, namely honesty and discipline before the implementation of character building learning and after
the implementation of character building learning in the subjects of moral aqidah at MTs Al Anwar
Sarang Rembang.
