Abstract

The strategic role of school principals can be implemented through improving the quality of human resources (HR) according to the needs of schools and the world of education in particular, by making adjustments so that education and schools are able to develop and advance, and the purpose of this research is to determine the strategy of female school principals in improve teacher performance, including: Discipline. efficiency; and teacher responsibilities. Through a qualitative descriptive method approach, data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observational studies and documentation. The research subjects were school principals, teachers and supervisors at Al Kamal Islamic High School. The results of the study found: (1) the principal's strategy in overcoming the problem of teachers who lack discipline is by calling the teacher concerned for advice, so as not to have a negative impact on other teachers, and inviting them together to improve discipline so students can emulate it; (2) the principal's strategy in overcoming the problem of teachers who lack competence, namely by calling the teacher concerned to be fostered, guided and trained to date using innovative media so that students have great motivation in participating in class learning. and (3) the principal's strategy in overcoming teacher responsibilities, namely by holding training for teachers who are not regular in preparing lesson plans and syllabi, in addition to sending teachers to take part in offline and online training, as well as adding internet facilities
