Islamic educational institutions are places where the educational process is carried out in order to shape the

personality of students towards a perfect Muslim personality. Therefore, in managing educational

institutions, leadership from school principals or madrasah heads who are based on morals is also needed.

There are at least two models of leadership based on morals or morals, namely spiritual and prophetic

leadership models. These two leadership models are reviewed in full in the context of Islamic education.

Reviews carried out include understanding, characteristics and weaknesses as well as strengths. This needs to

be explained to provide a clear picture that in each leadership model or theory, there is no best or worst and

to obtain a complete picture of the prophetic and spiritual leadership model to then be applicable in Islamic

educational institutions.
