Abstract

Game is a certain game in which there are rules of winning or losing. Online game are one of the electronic
and visual-based games whose games can be run if connected to the internet. Research on the impact of
online game addiction on children’s education at SDN 1 Kesugihan, Pulung. Through this research, it is
hoped that the impact of playing online games on children’s education can be known, so that it can
increase knowledge for researches and as a form of thought contribution in order to prevent the negative
impacts arising from the use of online games. This study used qualitative research methods. The researcher
determines the focus of the research, selects informans as data, conducts data analysis, understands and
interprets the data, and provides conclusions on the research and collecting data in the form of picture,
words and not in the form of numbers, throught observation, interviews, and documentation in the
research process. The online game factor is very influential factor in the world of education. The number of
students who play online games make their time that should be used to study be used to play online game
which even causes them to become addicted to continue playing them. The factors that cause many who
play online games in the environment of SDN 1 Kesugihan Pulung Ponorogo students are various,
including environmental factors, psychological factors, information and communication technology factors,
and disaster factors.
